In Conroe, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Texas vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Empire Machine Shop at (936) 828-2860; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, empiremachineshop.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 30 reviews, which is a strong result for an auto machine shop in Conroe and suggests consistent service.
Conroe is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Conroe follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Jose helped me multiple times with dificult jobs, fabricating special parts that are no available from factory for classic porsches, fabricated some gearbox parts and many other jobs. They are the best machine shop I found around for custom automotive work.

Pretty reasonable with pricing and quick turn around time, does good work and knows what theyre doing. Had a bearing housing that was damaged and next to useless, he put a sleeve in and locked it in place and it turned out great.

This shop is incredibly friendly and super helpful! I needed a flag pole adjusted to fit on a portable stand for our church and these guys were very quick to help with a great attitude. Thankful for them. I would definitely recommend them!

Great service. Although my job request was small, the owner took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and proposed a plan to accomplish the work. I was actually there when the work was finished and saw first-hand the quality of craftsmanship and care given to the job. An unqualified recommendation earned for this professional business. Thanks for your help.
